Anthony joined Vegas news personalities TV-13 Casey Smith, FOX 5’s Dave Hall and Maria Silva, lent their support to the 13th Annual Food Drive held at the Summerlin Smith’s Food and Drug in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, October 22, 2011.  Philanthropist Mary Vail, OSG (www.maryvailpublicist.com (http://www.maryvailpublicist.com/)) hosts the yearly drive to benefit the Las Vegas Chapter Salvation Army Food Bank as part of the national USA Weekend Magazine MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY, a nationwide charity event. Every year, the food drive draws celebrities and local personalities to lend their support for the cause. Leach who assists with numerous philanthropic endeavors returned to the food drive for a second time.

Smith’s Food & Drug at 2211 N. Rampart at Lake Mead in Summerlin Las Vegas has proudly been the host site for the food drive for 13 years and always provides a generous donation.  Other sponsors include Brand (http://www.brandltd.com), Paragon Pools (http://www.paragonpoolslv.com%20), Summerhill Executive Suites, Stable Development, Pictographics, and Kitchell Construction.   

Vail encourages businesses across the Vegas valley to host in-office food drives prior to October 22nd.  She arranges for courtesy donation containers to be delivered and pickup by official Salvation Army representatives.  

To date, the yearly food drive has collected over 44,480 lbs of non-perishable foods and personal hygiene items, and has received numerous recognitions for its efforts to assist those in need. The Salvation Army Food Bank services over 200 families a day, 52 weeks a year!
