National Apprenticeship Week is now well underway with successful events and promotional activities continuing throughout England.

News that companies such as Virgin Media and Santander are committed to hiring hundreds more apprentices is a great boost to the government’s drive to increase apprenticeships in the UK.

Earlier in the week, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg said:

"National Apprenticeship Week is a valuable opportunity to encourage more young people and businesses to gain from the benefits."

A great selection of photos has been posted on #madebyapprentices onPinterest - it is updated daily.

There are also some terrific apprenticeship case studies on the GREAT Business website, demonstrating the vital role that apprenticeships play in the UK economy.
