SpudsToGo In Talks With High Street Retailer

SpudsToGo ® today announced that the owners were in talks with a well known High Street retailer that could result in the opening of more than 1,500 SpudsXPress ™ additional locations throughout the UK.

Talks are at an 'early' stage, but interest is strong and a deal is possible within 45-60 days according to someone involved in the negotiations.

Greg Smith, founder of SpudsToGo said: "We've had on-and-off-again discussions with three different retailers over the last couple years that each recognised the financial possibilities of our branding, when backed up with the right level of investment."

SpudsToGo's model is rooted in Edinburgh when in 1999 Smith established his first cafe. Re-branding of the initial locations took place in early 2005 and since then Smith has worked diligently to expand the SpudsToGo, SpudsXPress ™ and Fruit 'n' Smoothie ™ model throughout the world.

After acquiring HeyPotato.com in 2009, SpudsToGo recently added OVOTEIN ® to its stable of brands.

"We would like to see a SpudsToGo or in this case a SpudsXPress on every High Street in the country and so we're naturally very keen to finalise an agreement," confirmed Smith.
