While police, the media and most of the country continue to focus on Mark Bridger, who remains in custody until 5pm this evening, I wonder if the police in Machynlleth, Wales have thought to search the loft of April Jones' parent's home.
Many people have already 'convicted' Bridger in the disappearance or murder of 5 year old April Jones. Few people are publicly asking why Coral Jones, April's mother, would have left her alone while she says she and April's father went to a meeting at the local school.
Interestingly, Jan Moir wrote for the MailOnline "Don't blame April's parents for letting her play outside". Blame them? They should be charged with child endangerment.
SkyNews has somehow twisted the story from April allegedly getting into a "white van" as they originally reported to today's version of the story that says she was seen getting into a "Landrover Discovery", which is a vehicle similar to the one owned by Bridger.
But it's been reported that Bridger was at the same school meeting as April's parents, so if April disappeared while her parents were at the meeting, how could Bridger be involved?
As we approach the one week point, remember that it was one week after Tia Sharp went missing in New Addington when, unfortunately, it took the rising August temperatures before police finally noticed the body of the missing teenager just two months ago.
It seems to me that April's parents and particularly April's mum should not be above suspicion.
And as it'll be some time before temperatures start to rise in Wales perhaps the police should check the loft...
