Jay Matthews is a talented new artist from MI, with smooth socially uplifting lyrics with incredible beats. His new single, Beautiful Morning, dropping June 28, 2012, through SMG Records/Sony/Red worldwide.  Acclaimed Grammy Nominated Producer, Luke Mourinet, produced this hit single making it a radio ready summer anthem. Matthews released his debut EP, Before the Dream, in 2011 through his independent label. This EP produced his breakthrough single, Winter Heart, which drew the attention of fans, record labels and radio stations. His upcoming full album, Dreams & Microphones, is due out later this summer.

Beautiful Morning talks about life’s daily difficulties, from childhood to adulthood. The song focuses on how greed and money changes things in life but it doesn’t have to if you, “Wake every morning feelin refreshed, life is a gamble & a full court press.”

Taking his lyrics to heart, Matthews works hard to make his dream job come true. Beautiful Morning has a laid back feel with a killer hook, which naturally lends itself to become a great summer single.

With Luke Mourinet at the mixing boards this song will be a break out hit. Mourinet has turned heads with his remixes since 1991. He paired up with Jean Marie Moens to create the remix duo of Ruff & Jam. His collaborations paid off when the pair produced Kylie Minogue’s big hit, Love at First Sight which became a Billboard #1 hit and gave the duo a Grammy nod. This opened doors to other collaborations with Robbie Williams, Amy Winehouse, The Killers, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Axelle Red to name a few.

Matthews is a hip-hop artist that believes in helping those around him. Once signed to this distribution deal he created a new charity called, Good Deeds go a Long Way. . This organization was formed to provide people, in all communities an equal opportunity for success. This charity helps through volunteering your time and effort at shelters, hospitals and kids programs. He spearheads the organization and puts personal emphasis towards helping kids in unfortunate neighborhoods and communities to “escape for a moment” through music.
